Academic Requirement
- Minimum age of seventeen (17) years
- Speak, read, write, and understands English at an 8th Grade level.
- High School Diploma / GED
- The Nursing Assistant program does not require High School Diploma or GED (recommended)
Enrollment Documents Needed
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
- Government Issued Social Security Card
- Government Issued Picture ID
- Physical Exam (within 1 year)
- Current negative TB test or chest x-ray.
- Immunization Record: to include, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chickenpox), and Hepatitis B vaccine.
- Negative Covid Test (Within 3 days before the first day of class)
- SLED check is required. People with a criminal record, substance and or health problems that would interfere with safe practices may be ineligible for placement on the South Carolina Nursing Assistant Registry or for employment. Any student that is found to be convicted of a FELONY will or may not be allowed to enroll/continue in the program without specific documents.
- A negative drug screen is required.
